Peace of mind and heart is really something to be cherished. To be at peace with oneself is worth more than all of the riches of the world. Sadly, very few ever find it. And many do not know that such a wonderful peace is right at their fingertips. Indeed, most folks unwittingly try to find peace in the way of material gain. This is what the world offers. And this will never satisfy the human spirit, for material things and the emotions they invoke are fleeting and offer only temporal satisfaction at best.
Jesus offers to each one of us His gift of peace of mind, heart and soul no matter who you may be or what your circumstances in life are. His children have the ability to go to sleep each and every night with the knowledge that they are in His love and protection. This is because His children have been washed clean by the blood that was shed on the cross at Calvary for all of mankind. We who have become a part of His body can go to sleep each night with the assurance that if we die before we wake we will be resurrected as Christ was resurrected to live in eternity with God and all of the glory of heaven.
If you have not obeyed the gospel this peace that Jesus offers can be yours. It is indeed free. The price of your soul has been paid for already by the unselfish and obedient sacrifice of the perfect Lamb, Jesus Christ. The means of salvation requires that we accept this gift through obedience to the commands set forth in the Word of God. Your soul instinctively is searching for the Spirit of God whether you realize it or not. Won't you heed the gospel call today? We have no guarantee or promise of another day, hour or minute. "And the Spirit and the bride say Come, And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely."

In the history of the world there has never been anyone like Jesus. He is referred to in the Bible as the "Word," the "Light," the "Bread of Life" and the "Prince of Peace." He is indeed all of these and more! He came into this world as the answer to all evil, sin, and darkness. He is our beacon in an ocean of blackness and our hope amid utter hopelessness. He is our only hope for a loving relationship with God our Father. You can begin to know Him by picking up your Bible and reading of Him. It is so true that He is not far from us all. We all have a "window of opportunity" to find the Truth. But this window closes just a little bit with each passing hour. The hour is now for every man and woman to seek Jesus. Please consider the cost if your window suddenly closes without Jesus in your life.

In the beginning "God" created the heavens and the earth...
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11
No Longer Under Any Law?
I've heard many times by various religious folks that, "We are no longer under the law."And I will agree with them whole heartedly, we are not indeed under the law. Does this mean that I believe we have no law under the present Christian Dispensation? Is there a law that we are obligated to abide by as Christians?
The apostle Paul many times tells us that there is no longer to be found solace under the, "Law of Moses." With study we find that the Hebrew people were having a hard time letting go of the many aspects of the Jewish religion. Paul tells them that no one can be saved by returning to a form of worship that was initiated by God to be of a temporary, or limited period of time.
The law of Moses was a, "School Master" in anticipation of a better and lasting covenant between man and God, (Galatians 3:24,25). However, having said this I will also say that the Bible tells us that we are surely under law! It is called the , "Law of Faith." (Romans 3:27). "The Law of Liberty." (James 2:12). "The Perfect Law of Liberty." (James 1:25). "The Law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2). The, "Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:2).
Yes, this "Law of Christ" is so much different from the Old Law of Moses in most every way. But we must not lose sight of the fact that when Paul speaks to these Jewish people about the law he is speaking of the Law of Moses. It can easily be misunderstood that we have no role whatsoever in our own salvation. The phobia of so called, "Works" is the result of such misunderstanding.
Obedience to the commands of Christ and His gospel have culminated directly from this type of phobia concerning, "Works." Most notably baptism in water as commanded by Jesus and His apostles. The work that is accomplished in submitting to the command of baptism is actually the work of God. When a convert submits his or her whole being by obedience to Him and the truth of His Word, it is God who performs the works and not man. That work in reality is, "JUSTIFICATION", or acquittal from past sin through the obedience of a penitent believer. And no amount of work whether of human design or in performing certain remnants of the law of Moses will accomplish for us salvation from our sins.
I will end this short study with a few questions.
1. Is belief, or faith a work? If not, why not?
2. Is repentance a work? If not, why not?
3. Is confession a work? If not, why not?
5. Is, "Calling upon the name of the Lord" a work? If not, why not?
4. Is prayer a work? Again, if not, then why not?
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (Philippians 2:12).
Please reflect on these thoughts.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Isa 2:2,3)
